Clive Dawson led a group of members from York Speakers Club and Bradford Speakers Club round the Norman parts of York.We managed to choose an evening at the end of July to guarantee sunshine and warmth; it rained nonstop and was cold with it!

We still had a very enjoyable and informative walk. Clive likes his history and managed to bring to life an exciting period in the history of our beautiful city.

We finished off the evening in time honoured fashion in Wackers Fish & Chip shop for a very low calorie, healthy meal.
